White House says NO to special prosecutor for IRS scandal

irsThe White House has declared that they will not be appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the IRS scandal that resulted in the political harassment of conservative and tea party organizations.

Asked aboard Air Force One about a Quinnipiac University poll that showed 76 percent of Americans want a special prosecutor to handle the case, White House deputy press secretary Josh Earnest said the administration isn’t looking at that option

“We’re not,” Earnest said, according to a transcript. “And the reason for that simply is that there is a new IRS commissioner in place, Danny Werfel, who is a career civil servant, who represented — who served in administrations led by Republican presidents and Democratic presidents. He’s conducting a 30-day review.”

The Obama Administration–the most transparent administration in history–wants everyone to move on from what seems to be corruption of the highest order. The reason they offer makes no sense. It doesn’t matter that there is a new person in charge. What matters is that this was allowed to happen throughout the entire IRS! And to think that the IRS will soon be enforcing ObamaCare…

What do you think? Should the White House appoint a special prosecutor.
