I’ll let Mediaite’s Matt Willstein set up this clip:
Jimmy Kimmel is fairly certain that Americans pick a candidate based on personality and go along blindly with any policy positions they happen to propose along the way. So, with that in mind, he sent his reporter out onto Hollywood Boulevard and presented details of Donald Trump’s new tax plan to self-described Hillary Clinton supporters and got them to agree with the details assuming they belonged to her plan.
This is pretty definitive proof that voters will mindlessly follow the loudest personality without really knowing anything about their policies, which certainly explains Trump’s bizarre popularity. By the way — his tax plan would add more to the national debt than Obama has added during his entire presidency.
