Sen. Elizabeth Warren is a popular choice among far-left progressives to run for president in 2020. But a new survey has some bad news:
A new Politico/Morning Consult poll has Donald Trump beating Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) by six points in a hypothetical 2020 presidential election.
Forty-two percent of likely voters said they would support President Trump compared to 36 percent who would back Warren.
But wait — it gets worse for Warren.
According to the poll, “43 percent of those surveyed would vote for a generic Democratic candidate in 2020, compared to only 35 percent for Trump.” But when the candidate is Warren, only 36 percent back her. It goes from an eight point Democrat lead to a six-point loss.
In other words, Warren is worse than “generic Democrat.”
