I’ve always thought that Washington Senator Patty Murray was the dumbest person in the United States Senate.
But now, she has some serious competition.
Watching the confirmation hearings for Defense Secretary designee, Pete Hegseth, was a real education — but not the good kind.
A friend referred to interrogating Senators as “mediocrities.” Most of them would need a huge upgrade to even be that good.
Mazie Hirono might actually be the dumbest person in Congress, an impressive feat pic.twitter.com/joJSbTEvfU

I just cannot believe the things she says to Mr. Hegseth. If any Republican ever treated a Democrat Cabinet member like this, the lamestream media would be outraged.
And then there’s this one — who had no interest in hearing from Hegseth, just in berating him.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth wasn’t interested in hearing an answer from Pete Hegseth during her unhinged questioning. She just wanted an opportunity to yell at him.
Typical. pic.twitter.com/qD4H6o6lGw

We’ve kinda gotten used to Senator Elizabeth Warren going on rants about topics she either knows nothing about or what she knows is wrong. Her going off on Hegseth is above and beyond.
🚨 Senate Hearing Room ERPUTS in Laughter as Elizabeth Warren is ROASTED to her face by Hegseth
Warren: You won’t work for defense industry for 10 years?
Hegseth: Not something I’ve thought about
Warren: Every general should wait 10 years, not you?
Hegseth: I’m not a general pic.twitter.com/Ikt2hDNYEQ

Then there’s Kirsten Gillibrand, the accidental Senator from New York.
You can almost see the spittle she’s ejecting as she goes to town on Hegseth.
Only one of these individuals is acting professional and unemotional. I must say that the democrat women questioning Hegseth in today’s approval hearing are a very bad look for women & liberals & intelligent humans as a whole. Sheesh. pic.twitter.com/1PTwInhZ1j

I really, really hate politicians.
And there are many other soul-crushing moments from the Hegseth hearing.
But there’s one scary footnote.
I sorta, kinda think Chris Cuomo might be right for once.
We saw the greatest threat to our society at the Hegseth hearing today…tell me I am wrong: pic.twitter.com/brgXkfeqzn
