Election integrity executive orders requiring citizenship checks? Straight-up voter suppression in their fevered telling. Birthright citizenship reforms after the MacDill Air Force Base bomb plot by Chinese anchor babies? Racist authoritarianism.
They do not need evidence that would hold up in court. They just need a majority and a compliant media to repeat the charges until they sound true. The articles will be broad, vague, and stuffed with every policy disagreement they have lost on the merits. It is the same playbook from the first two impeachments: invent a crime of the week, dress it up in constitutional language, and dare Republicans to defend it.
Why This Is a Stain That Will Not Stick – And a Gift to Republicans
Yes, a House impeachment vote is a formal black mark on paper. The media will treat it like Watergate on steroids and pretend it taints Trump’s legacy forever. Spare us. The American people already watched this movie twice. They know it is a partisan stunt. Polling from the first two rounds showed most voters saw through the charade. A third round will only confirm what independents already suspect: Democrats have no agenda beyond destroying the man who keeps beating them.
The real damage will be to the Democrats themselves. While they waste months on show trials and subpoenas, real work stops. Border security, energy production, and economic gains from the tariff reset will take a backseat to hearings that go nowhere. Voters in 2026 already punished the party out of power in the usual midterm pattern. The seriousness is one hundred percent. They will impeach if they win the House. The grounds will be manufactured outrage over every America First success. But the stain will not land where they hope. It will stain them. Voters are exhausted by the endless cycle of hoax, impeachment, and acquittal. When Democrats make 2026 about dragging Trump back to the well, they are handing Republicans the best turnout argument they could ask for. Win the House or watch the circus. The choice is that simple. The American people have seen this act before and they are not buying tickets for the third showing.
