When I was in school, admittedly a long time ago, we were taught that America’s Founding Fathers were intelligent, moral, visionaries who had looked at the world that existed and took only the things that were good and dumped the rest.
They were heroes.
Some of the stories about them were likely not factually true — George Washington and the cherry tree being just one example.
But the overall conception of them as good men who founded a nation like no other on earth is undoubtedly factual.
So how do we get to this point?

When incoming President Trump starts to fix things, our messed up education system should be at the top of his list.
