We’re paying for this?

There’s an old saying, generally attributed to Mark Twain, that seems somehow appropriate here:

“Be thankful we’re not getting all the government we pay for.”

But this has gotten ridiculous….

Make this clear to me.  No government agency is using even 50% of their assigned office space.

And only 6% show up to work in person.

And yet we’re spending huge amounts of money on nonsense.

Next time there’s a government “shutdown” or a DC snow day, ponder on the phrase they use:  essential workers.

If mostly they aren’t showing up to work, are any of them — outside the military and maybe border patrol — really essential?

I don’t think so.
