He says he didn’t do it.
That should be enough, right?
Prisons are full up with folks who didn’t do it. They will tell you so. Over and over.
Mostly it’s not enough for cops and prosecutors. They are wily folks who are not easily fooled.
But, nowadays, folks in the media are not quite so discerning.
When a perp says they didn’t do it, those media types roll over and show them their belly.
Here’s how the crack investigative team at CNN “fact-checks” Donald Trump’s claim, and the belief of many conservatives, that the WH and DOJ are targeting their chief political rival.

And so it is with the President. He claims he and his Administration are not targeting Donald Trump.
Media types — those modern day Woodwards and Bernsteins — buy it all, lock stock and barrel.
No wonder Americans hold the mainstream media in such distain.
