Fauci’s Secret Lung Clot After the Shot He Pushed on America

Anthony Fauci rolled up his sleeve on camera in December 2020, took the Moderna shot, and told the country it was safe. Six months later his own doctors found a pulmonary infarct – dead lung tissue from a blocked blood vessel – after he complained of sudden chest pain. He never told the public. The details sat in his private diary until Senator Rand Paul released the pages in 2026.

The Timeline That Matters

Fauci received his first dose of the Moderna vaccine on December 22, 2020, in a carefully staged public event at the NIH. He was the face of the campaign. Get the shot. Trust the science. The second dose followed in the normal window.

On June 17, 2021, he experienced acute transient right posterior chest pain. Two days later a CT scan at Sibley Hospital revealed a lesion in the right lower lobe. The radiologist initially flagged it as possible non-small cell carcinoma. Top specialists were brought in. They concluded the lesion looked more inflammatory or benign than cancerous. The one definite finding was a pulmonary infarct in the lowest segment of the right lung. Doctors ordered immediate anticoagulation with Eliquis and a follow-up scan in three months.

That is not a heart attack. It is lung tissue death caused by interrupted blood flow, most often from a pulmonary embolism – a blood clot that travels to the lungs. Fauci recorded the episode in his diary. He did not announce it.

Was This Predicted?

No specific prediction named Fauci or this exact event before the rollout. What existed were general warnings about novel mRNA platforms, the speed of development, and the theoretical risk of unexpected clotting or inflammatory problems. Trial data released in late 2020 showed mostly short-term, mild side effects. Serious rare events, including certain clotting disorders and later-confirmed myocarditis in young males, surfaced in post-rollout surveillance.

Pulmonary infarction and pulmonary embolism are not listed by the CDC as common or expected side effects of the mRNA COVID vaccines used in the United States. Some observational studies later flagged small signals for venous thromboembolism after certain shots, particularly the adenovirus-vector vaccines, while others found no strong association with the mRNA products. COVID infection itself produces a far higher clotting risk. Causality in Fauci’s individual case has never been established. The diary entry records the diagnosis and the treatment. It does not attribute the infarct to the vaccine.

Why the Silence

Private medical information is private. Fauci was under no legal obligation to disclose a personal CT-scan finding. Yet the context is obvious. He was the government’s most visible salesman for universal vaccination. A public report of chest pain, a lung infarct, and blood thinners six months after his televised shot would have been political and media dynamite. Skeptics would have called it proof. Supporters would have called it coincidence. Either way, confidence in the product he was pushing would have taken a hit.

He chose elite private care and silence while continuing to urge shots on the rest of the country, including people with far higher risk profiles and far less access to the best doctors in America. That is the part that stings. The man who spent 2021 dismissing concerns about rare adverse events experienced one of the rarer vascular findings himself and kept it off the public record.

What the Record Actually Shows

The diary confirms the infarct occurred. The six-month gap is real. The lack of public disclosure is real. The claim that this exact event was forecast for Fauci before the vaccines rolled out is not supported. The claim that pulmonary infarction is a standard, expected side effect of the Moderna shot is also not supported by the official labeling or CDC lists. Whether the clot was related to the vaccine, related to something else, or simply the kind of event that happens to men in their late 70s remains an open medical question. What is not open is that the nation’s top infectious-disease official experienced a serious vascular event, treated it quietly, and never adjusted his public messaging.

Americans were told to trust the experts. The experts’ private notes turned out to contain more complications than the press conferences admitted. That gap is the real story.
