Was Will Rogers right?

There’s a quote most often attributed to Will Rogers:

“Be thankful we’re not getting all the government we’re actually paying for.”

Whether it was him or not is often debated, but the gist of the quote is true — even more so now.

I don’t know about you, but I wonder about what we pay for in this bloated and over expensive government.

I have a friend who won’t say “government workers” as they should be called employees since they don’t really do that much work.

And there are numbers to back that up.

If you’re not logging into your e-mail, you’re not working.  Period.

And if 80% of government offices are empty, why do we need them?  Or the employees who collect a paycheck for not being there?
