Believe it or not, former bartender and current Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is complaining about her annual salary of $174,000/year.
Let’s think about that for a second…
The median household income in the U.S. is under $70,000/year.
Average household income is under $100,000/year (takes into account the really wealthy ones like Bezos and Gates and all those big-mouth, Hollywood types whose income is all out of proportion to their intellect.
Individual median income is under $36,000/year and average individual income is under $54,000/year.
All that is a far cry from AOC’s salary.
But wait! There’s more!
In addition to her salary, there’s a lavish health insurance program, an extremely short work week (basically three days), office and staff, lots and lots of Paid Time Off (they’re breaking for the summer shortly and won’t be back until after Labor Day with another PTO vacay leading up to the election), a House gym, travel allowance and more.
Yet this grievously unintelligent person has the gall to grumble about her salary, mostly paid by working folks who make much less than she does.
She’s an embarrassment…
