Federal Workers Are Already Being Asked How to Block the Government From the Inside

The latest release of recordings and documents shows a group of current and former federal employees working with the same network that has described red lines for declaring the federal government illegitimate. The group is the Federal Workers Alliance for Democracy. It is listed as an endorser of the strategy aimed at structural reform, and it is a founding partner of a nationwide campaign whose stated goal is a “People’s Proposal of structural reforms.” The materials place that proposal in the period after the federal government has been treated as illegitimate.

The Group That Used to Call Itself Federal Workers Against DOGE

The alliance was previously known by a name that made its target plain. It now presents itself as a defender of public servants. Its public materials tell federal workers that if enough of them refuse to obey orders they view as illegal, they can delay or stop the administration. It maintains a resistance menu of actions employees can take inside their agencies. It has partnered with large protest networks. The new release shows it is also tied to the planning for what comes after a legitimacy crisis.

Participants in the earlier recordings discussed consulting federal workers on ways to do blocking inside agencies during emergency situations. One message in a Zoom chat instructed others not to put that consultation on a form. The eighth release follows that thread. It shows the workers’ alliance is not merely an outside critic. It is listed among the partners of the campaign that seeks a national proposal for structural change once the federal government is no longer treated as the legitimate authority.

The Plan for What Comes Next

The documents describe two paths. One is a nationwide deliberation process that produces a People’s Proposal. The organizers place that process after the federal government has been declared illegitimate. A representative panel of citizens would then supply the input for a new set of governing rules, which some materials call a Fourth Founding. Another concept note discusses constitutional amendments paired with state ratification strategies. In either case, the materials show the blocking groups understand the end goal as a rewrite of the rules under which the country is governed.

Two current federal workers appear in the files. Their names were withheld because they are not public figures, and the information was passed to contacts inside their agencies. The public record does not show how many employees have been contacted or how far any internal consultation has gone. It does show that the organizers are already treating federal workers as one of the tools available once their red lines are crossed.

What the Release Adds

Earlier parts of the series described the red lines, the role of governors as alternative anchors of authority, and the pre-positioned protest and legal networks. This release adds the internal piece: workers who already hold positions inside the agencies being asked, in private, how they can impede actions during the emergency the organizers have defined. The same network is simultaneously building the deliberative process that would generate the replacement rules once legitimacy has been withdrawn.

The materials are the participants’ own words and the published strategy documents that list the workers’ alliance as a partner. They do not show that every federal employee is involved. They show that a organized group of them is already connected to the planning for both the blocking phase and the restructuring phase that follows. That is the concrete addition in the eighth release. The country now has a public record that the coordination extends inside the agencies themselves.
